Western Equipment was established in 1944 and was purchased by John Meko Sr. in 1960.
The Electronics Division was added in 1988 and was moved to the Head Office branch in 1997.
A Windsor, Ontario branch was added in 1995.
To provide quality service the Chatham and Windsor branches are open from 7am to 5pm on weekdays.
The Chatham store is also open from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays.
At the present time there are 46 people employed throughout the company.
Nine are located in Windsor, with the remainder in the Chatham branch.
Western Equipment currently has an inventory of over 15,000 items to serve customers from all electrical and electronic fields.
With a fleet of nine delivery vehicles we can promise same day delivery on any stock items, with orders called in by 9:30am. This covers most of Southwestern Ontario.
Our counter personnel are fully equipped to handle any questions that may arise in the electrical or electronic fields.
We carry a full line of commercial, industrial and residential lighting. Our friendly staff will be happy to advise you on all your lighting needs.
We are also a supplier of industrial controls and automation. Antennas and all telecommunication equipment are available at the Chatham branch.
